Speaking at a press conference for Britain’s Got Talent today, Simon, 54, insisted that by being in the public eye he had to expect the press intrusion.

He said: “When you do this for a living, you’ve got to accept that people want to take your picture and stuff like that. I couldn’t care less.”

When his girlfriend Lauren Silverman was pregnant with Eric, Simon insisted that having a baby would not disrupt his routine and he’s insisted it hasn’t.

“Everybody said I wouldn’t sleep…nothing’s change. I’m still working hard. He’s really cool, super sweet. Lauren’s great, she’s gone back to New York today or yesterday, but I’m meeting up with her in Los Angeles in about 10 days time.”

Meanwhile, also at the press conference was Simon’s fellow BGT judge Alesha Dixon, 35, who looked amazing in a crop top and high wasted skirt.

Despite only giving birth to her daughter Azura five months ago, Alesha wowed in her her cream top and skirt combo.

The singer finished the look with striking purple lipstick and nude heels, keeping her dip-dyed hair straight.

Alesha recently spoke out about losing her baby weight, saying: “I haven’t been obsessively training or dieting. I want to let natural take its course. I’m still nursing so I want to make sure I’m good to myself.

“I always try to eat healthily but I’ve not deprived myself of anything.”
