The 55-year-old is one of the most powerful men in the entertainment industry and is responsible for pop superstars including One Direction, Leona Lewis and Little Mix.
Now Simon has revealed he’s been told when he will die – and it’s great news for fans of The X Factor.
Speaking to the Mirror, the dad-of-one said: “I had the DNA test done in LA which predicts when you’re going to die. They take your blood and DNA, then give you back a sheet of paper which says ‘We think you’re going to be alice until xxxx’.
“Obviously it doesn’t take account of the fact you might get hit by a bus tomorrow, but I got told I’d die aged 95 – which is about as good as you can expect.”
It is good news for Simon, who is known for his 20-a-day cigarette habit and previously revealed he drinks to put himself in a ‘calm place’.
But Si reckons his long life expectancy is down to chilling out a bit since having son Eric in 2014.
He continued: “I think a lot of it is down to having a family now, and a lack of stress. I’ve learned to deal with stress much better now, things don’t bother me in the way that they once used to.”
And Simon stressed the importance of getting regular medical check ups. He added: “I get everything checked out twice a year and so far, considering everything I’ve done, I’ve been lucky and had no scares.”
