She’s had a tumultuous year in her love life, having split from her fiancé Jamie Horn, the father of her baby son Billy, in the summer.
Despite having reportedly moved on with old flame Alex Lawler, last week there were fears for Sheridan Smith after reports she was involved in a severe car crash last week.
The icy conditions near to her home in Essex caused Sheridan, 40, to plough into a tree – wrecking her Range Rover so badly that a passer-by feared “someone must be dead”.

The actress is said to have been in the car with new boyfriend Alex, whom she began dating in September but had previously been in a relationship with in her twenties. Her agent later confirmed no one was harmed in the collision.
News of the crash came after reports Sheridan had a feud with staff at The Jonathan Ross Show, which she appeared on last week. The row was said to have begun over the “chauvinistic atmosphere” at the show.

Joanna smashed it as Stacey; the bubbly girl from Barry who got engaged five (yes, five) times before she met the love of her life Gavin. Bless her.

Similar to her character Stacey, Joanna settled down in real life too and is now mum to three children - a daughter, Eva, and her two sons, Kit and Noah.

Err, James Cordon as Smithy was absolutely hilarious tbh. He kept us entertained with his dancing, love for Gavin and love/hate relationship with Nessa.

Oh, what's occurring? Need we say more? Ruth was brilliant as Nessa; fierce and hilarious and as much as we saw how happy she was with Dave, we always knew Smithy was the one that truly had her heart.

Alison's character Pam was probably the most iconic of them all. We loved her that she made to pretend to be a vegetarian up until the Christmas special where she finally told everyone she was eating meat - they all (minus Gwen) knew.

Since Gavin and Stacey ended, Alison has appeared in Orphan Black in 2015 and currently lives in Highgate, London with her partner Michael Elwyn.

Ahh, Rob as Bryn was an absolute classic. There's so many hilarious moments of him to choose from but whenever we think of him our first thought is, of course, the Gavin and Stacey fishing trip...

Long gone are the days of Bryn as a humble telly actor. Rob has since gone on to star in Hollywood movies including The Huntsmen: Winter's War (he played Gryff) and he played Master Phineus in the real life version of Cinderella.
And fans expressed their concerns for Sheridan – who has previously opened up about struggling with anxiety and depression after the death of her father in 2016 – with one writing online, “I hope she’s ok, she’s had a tough year”.
Sheridan split with on-off partner of three years Jamie in July, with reports at the time claiming she was “struggling to get through” the break-up.
She does, however, appear to be excited about the festive season, posting promotional pictures for her new Christmas single with pal Gary Barlow – with whom she appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show.

In more Sheridan Smith news it appears that she's no longer in contact with her Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps co-star Will Mellor.
Will recently opened up and said, "I haven’t spoken to her in about six years. I tried calling her for about a year but she never got back to me.
"I offered her my support when her father died, but she never reached out when my dad passed away, which was quite significant for me as we were very close and she knew my family. That said a lot to me. I wish her well with her career and life though."
He added to OK! magazine, "I saw that Friends thing the other day and I thought we could have done something like that – talk about the old days, show some clips for fans of the show – but, to be honest, some of the people I don’t speak to any more."
