Sam Bailey, who won The X Factor just 14 months ago, recently revealed that she had parted ways with Simon Cowell's record label, Syco.

Taking to Twitter to confirm the news, Sam wrote: “Hi guys yes it’s true I have parted ways with syco!! Don’t worry tho, I’m happy xx lots of exciting things happening”.

But she has found a wealth of support in none other than X Factor's Sharon Osbourne.

Sharon, who mentored Sam on The X Factor and is godmother to her baby daughter Miley, lashed out at Simon over his decision, insisting: “He [Simon] doesn’t like older people.”

She then took things one step further and went on to attack Simon over his love of cosmetic surgery, being quoted by the Daily Star as saying: “I think his face is pumped full of fillers.

“He’s starting to look like a pickled onion. Who wants a big puffy face?”

Ouch.

Sam, however, is not planning on disappearing from record shelves anytime soon.

The mum-of-three told the Radio Times firmly: “I’m not going to be one of those X Factor contestants that’s forgotten about.”
