'She’s taken terrible gambles in order to look better. It’s very sad'

David Arden, who hasn’t spoken to his sister in seven years following a family row, told a UK newspaper: ‘Sometimes I look at pictures of Sharon now and she looks nothing like the sister I knew,’

‘By having gone under the knife, she’s taken terrible gambles in order to look better. It’s very sad, she could have done herself a lot of damage.’

‘She said she has stopped having surgery. I just hope she doesn’t start doing it again.’

Sharon, who has always been open about her familiarity with the surgeon’s knife, spoke to Graham Norton just a few days ago about her numerous procedures – including having her vagina tightened.

But David also revealed the famously feisty music manager hasn’t always been so confident.

David, who is 20 months older than Sharon, told the paper his sister had few friends while she was at school had always battled with her image.

‘As a teenager she battled with her weight,’ he said. ‘She always thought she was fat.

He added: ‘When she started to hit her teens she went through a bad stage. She has always had a problem with her image.’

David, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, has said he would like to heal the rift with his famous sibling.

Sharon has since replied to her brother’s public appeal to reunite, saying: ‘I haven’t seen David for 10 years. He has no idea about our lives.’
