The X factor judge has had an impressive career managing the solo career of Black Sabbath singer husband Ozzy Osbourne and rock band The Smashing Pumpkins as well as producing music concerts.
She also secured a reality TV programme for her family starring her, husband Ozzy, and two of their three children, Jack and Kelly, which became a hit when it aired in 2002 – 2005.
'It was the biggest mistake I ever did'
But Sharon, now 61, has chat show host Graham Norton that her and husband Ozzy’s career successes came at a price, telling him ‘the hardest thing’ was ‘being there’ for her children.
Speaking on tonight’s show, she said: ‘We both worked to continue a lifestyle we had become accustomed to and we had to travel so my kids spent quite a time away from us and you can never get that time back.
‘It was the biggest mistake I ever did, but would I have wanted to live a lesser life? You make the most of what you have.
‘I don’t know how, but Jack and Kelly came out just great.’
'The hardest thing I ever had to do was walk away'
Sharon also confirmed that her and Ozzy’s marriage is back on track after it fell apart when he relapsed earlier this year.
She said: ‘It was the combination of drugs and drink and it was like, “No, not again,” so I moved out. We are back together and it is all down to him, he is on the 12 steps and he is clean and sober.
‘He stopped because he knows what he was going to lose, not just me but everything. He says we’re like bread and butter.
‘We fit together so perfectly. We are a team and the hardest thing I ever had to do was walk away,’ she added.
The Graham Norton Show is on BBC One at 10:35pm
