But despite her title, the star – who recently confirmed her engagement to French journalist Romain Dauriac – admitted she is a jealous person in her relationship.
Explaining that she is ‘more attracted to the irrational,’ Scarlett revealed that she thinks jealousy is acceptable as a way of expressing emotion.
She said: ‘It's okay to be jealous, for example, which people think is irrational. To let yourself care that much that the emotion might hurt you a little.’
The actress also said that she would rather be with someone who gets jealous than someone who never gets jealous.
'I'd rather be with someone who's a little jealous than someone who's never jealous'
She confessed: ‘look, I'm with a Frenchman. I think jealousy comes with the territory. But I'd rather be with someone who's a little jealous than someone who's never jealous.
‘There's something a little dead fish about them. A little bit depressing. It may not make sense, but you need to feel it a little.’
'I didn't think I was a jealous person until I started dating my current, my one-and-only'
Adding that she has only become jealous since she fell in love with her fiancé, she said: ‘I didn't think I was a jealous person until I started dating my current, my one-and-only.’
‘I think maybe in the past I didn't have the same kind of investment. Not that I liked my partner less, I just wasn't capable of it or caring that much.’
Scarlett began dating French journalist Roman in November 2012 after being introduced by mutual friends and recently confirmed their engagement.
She was previously married to fellow actor Ryan Reynolds in 2008, before ending the relationship in 2010 and officially divorcing the following year.
