Despite being the most successful female tennis player of her generation, twitter trolls were quick to criticise Serena’s appearance during the Wimbledon tournament - with haters taking offence at both her figure and her eyebrows.

That’s right, despite smashing her opponents and gaining victory in the Wimbledon Women’s Finals, some Twitter users just couldn’t help but voice their opinion that Serena looked ‘manly’ and that her eyebrows ‘needed doing.’

Just this week J.K. Rowling defended the tennis star, after twitter users called her 'manly.' In responde, she tweeted: 'Yeah, my husband looks just like this in a dress. You're an idiot.'

We like a well groomed brow, but did any of these tweeters think she was perhaps too focused on winning a world championship to head to the beauty salon? Just us then? Ok.
