The show has confirmed the news that EastEnders’ Jake Wood, who plays bad boy Max Branning, Casualty’s Sunetra Sarker and BAFTA award-winning naturalist Steve Backshall will be taking part!
Yep, we’re pretty excited about the latest trio of celebs who’ll be joining ex TOWIE star Mark Wright, Blue’s Simon Webbe, rugby beau Thom Evans, presenter Alison Hammond, Andy Murray’s mum Judy and Frankie Bridge from The Saturdays to compete for the Glitterball trophy.

Actor Jake Wood, who plays Albert Square’s notorious lothario Max Branning, is looking forward to swapping the Square for the Strictly dance floor.
Walford's villan said, ‘I'm really relishing the prospect of hitting the Strictly dance floor this year. I'm doing it for all the dads out there and you never know, there's always a chance of being the first Walford resident to take home the glitterball... Bring it on!’
Actress Sunetra Sarker, aka Zoe Hanna from Casualty, was equally as excited to announce her participation, writing on Twitter, ‘So yes.. Zoe is on a break & I'm SCD no7!!I just want to say...thankU2 (sic) all u gorgeous supportive fans&friends 4 the mass love- onwards…’
The lastest star to be announced is naturalist Steve, who is even more nervous about completing for the Glitterball than confronting the world’s deadliest animals on his Deadly 60 TV show, telling the BBC, ‘My day job filming wildlife in jungles and swamps is nothing like as scary as what is ahead. I think Strictly Come Dancing is going to be my wildest challenge by far!’
