Lynsey Pow, who appeared in dramas Waterloo Road, Doctors, and alongside Billie Piper in Secret Diary of a Call Girl, hung herself at her home November 28th, 2013, while high on drugs.
The 34-year-old talented star was found by her husband, TV presenter Ashley House, surrounded by drug paraphanaelia and bank statements detailing the extent of her debts.
She had serious money problems as a results of her gambling addiction.
An inquest at Southwark crown court today ruled that Lynsey had indeed taken her own life, with a post-mortem examination confirming she had alcohol and drugs in her system at the time of her death.
Assistant coroner Sarah Ormand-Walshe recorded a narrative verdict, saying that the presence of drugs in Lynsey’s system means it’s hard to say she intended to kill herself.
‘[Pow] appeared to have obtained some cocaine and while under the influence of cocaine she appeared to hang herself.’
