Cheryl Cole – now Mrs Fernandez-Versini – has known Sarah Harding for over 10 years but despite their whole lot of history it hasn’t stopped Sarah from making a few subtle digs at the X Factor judge.

In an interview last week Sarah, 32, was quizzed whether she’ll watch the X Factor and replied: “X Factor. What X Factor? Who knows if I'll tune in. Let's not talk about ITV. I'm a BBC girl these days.”

She was later asked what prompted 31-year-old Cheryl’s rose tattoo and Sarah said: “I don't know. I haven't asked. I can tell you what mine means.”

In this week’s issue of Closer pals reveal that Sarah’s comments stem from jealous. A pal says: “Sarah can sometimes suffer jealousy around Cheryl and is often resentful that her career didn’t go the way she wanted after Girls Aloud. Sarah has always felt like that, she's naturally competitive.”
