The 31-year-old is said to have made the move after a particularly heavy weekend.
US site TMZ claimed a statement released to them read: "I realise my issues are bigger than me and I'm ready to truly remedy this struggle I continue to battle."
Scott has faced a well publicised battle with alcohol in the past, which saw him enter rehab last November for 'drink and drug related' issues.
He is thought to have checked into the Rythmia Life Advancement Centre, and a source told E! news: "He's been there recently once before and liked it."
Scott's statement continued: "While I have been unconvinced in the past of treatment and therapy methods, Rythmia's rehab approach puts my worries at ease."
In November Scott discussed his problems with long-term partner Kourtney Kardashian.
Speaking during an episode of Kourtney & Khloe Take The Hamptons, Kourtney, 35, said: "This behaviour has been going on for years."
Scott added at the time: "I've pretty much become a broken record and I'm sick of hearing myself."
He and Kourtney have three children together, Mason, five, Penelope, two, and three-month-old Reign Aston.
