As posters for her upcoming film Captain America 2 are released, internet users are reacting with anger and shock at the actresses's figure in the image.

Curvy Johansson, who has always been famed for her hourglass figure, sports an incredibly tiny waist in the latest promotional posters, leading some users to question how much digital enhancement has been used.

Photoshopping and editing images is a contentious issue that always provokes a fierce debate.

On the one hand, some message board users have suggested that because the film is based on a comic book - where colours and shapes are exagerrated as a stylistic feature of the genre - if Johansson's curves have been enhanced it is just to achieve this cartoonish effect.

Others however, seem under the impression that the Lost in Translation actress's fabulous figure needs no messing with, and doing so promotes an unhealthy and unrealistic body image.

The 29-year-old has already courted controversy this week after Oxfam put pressure on her to withdraw her endorsment of Israeli brand SodaStream. This was due to the brand owning a factory on land in the occupied West Bank which Oxfam believe promotes poverty in the Palestinian community.

Let's hope the weekend goes a little bit smoother, ey Scarlett?
