The news broke when E! Online alleged that a source close to the couple had ‘confirmed’ the news to them.
Many other news sources also reported the news, adding to speculation that the 28-year-old star is expecting a baby.
The actress got engaged to French journalist Romain last year, but recently insisted: ‘I’m not doing any wedding planning.’
She told the Daily Mail late last year ‘I would like to have my own family, that would be nice.’
She continued: ‘They say it's never the right time and I am sure that's true, but I think you have to plan it like anything else.’
'At some point it is something I look forward to.’ She added: ‘I am fortunate in that I have had a long career - 20 years - that has been very diverse. So, you know, picking a time to plan a family feels like something that I could do and not feel as though I was missing out.'
Scarlett is no stranger to pregnancy rumours. During her 3-year marriage to actor Ryan Reynolds tabloids often speculated as to when she would be starting a family.
Scarlett and Romain have yet to confirm the news themselves.
