The Saturday's Molly King shares her diet secrets and her guilty pleasures.
Where do you shop and how much do you spend?
Waitrose as it’s near the new flat I’ve just moved into. I spend about £40 twice a week.
What’s your typical daily diet?
I have porridge and honey or peanut butter on toast for breakfast, lunch is chicken salad with chocolate fudge cake – any excuse for a pudding – and I like a big dinner like roast chicken with vegetables. I snack on salty popcorn in front of the TV.
Is there anything you refuse to eat?
Onions and tomatoes, plus I hate the texture of mushrooms.
Which three foods would you take to a desert island?
Chicken curry – Indian is my fave food – salted popcorn and Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough ice cream for something sweet.
What is your favourite comfort food?
Magnum ice creams or beef Hula Hoops.
What’s your favourite drink?
I don’t drink alcohol so I have sparkling water at home and Coca Cola when I’m out. Rock and roll or what?!
The Saturdays’ album Wordshaker is out now.
Nutritionist Dr Barbara Wilson says:
“For someone so slim and gorgeous, there’s a lot of rubbish in Mollie’s diet! Ice cream, crisps, popcorn, puddings, more ice cream… While she can get away with this with her active lifestyle at 22, Mollie will need to be careful as she gets older. There’s a lot of sugar, fat and salt here, which may all take their toll on her body in years to come.”
