The British star has been dating Manchester City player Wayne since December of 2010, and has been warding off engagement rumours for much of that time.

Frankie is the third member of band to get engaged, after Rochelle Wiseman married singer Marvin Humes, and Una Healy wed rugby player Ben Foden last year.

The London-born songstress received a flurry of congratulations from her fellow band members.

Una Healy said: "So Happy for @FrankieTheSats and Wayne who have recently got engaged X".

Rochelle Humes then chimed in, adding: "Big congratulations to @FrankieTheSats and Wayney. He did so well :-) and the ring is to die for in the flesh. Welcome to the wifey club xxx".

Vanessa White then tweeted: "Congrats @FrankieTheSats & Wayne! So happy for you guys. Woooooo xxx".

The Saturdays' official Twitter account also followed suit, saying:

"LOTS AND LOTS of love and best wishes to our @FrankieTheSats and Wayne!! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together! xoxo".

'He's amazing. He held my hand through all my problems. He's just an incredible man and I love him'

Although Frankie recently revealed that the constant questions surrounding an engagement to Wayne made him not want to propose, it appears the 32-year-old had a change of heart.

And it seems the proposal couldn’t have come sooner, with a loved-up Frankie recently gushing:

"I'd love to have a baby with Wayne. He's amazing. He held my hand all the way through my problems and he was there for me when my granddad died last October. He's just an incredible man and I love him.”

Could a third Saturdays baby be next on the agenda?
