Cheryl and Liam Payne welcomed their son into the world in March
Sarah Harding has admitted former band member Cheryl has been broody since her best friend Kimberley Walsh gave birth.
Cheryl and Liam Payne having a baby was probably the worst kept showbiz secret ever but the pair finally announced they welcomed their son into the world – as we had previously guessed - for Mother's Day.
Revealing the incredible news on Instagram, Chezza said: "On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream. Although he still doesn't have a name he is already stealing hearts.
"We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival. Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers around the world. A day that now has a different meaning to me forever."
Liam added: " My close friends and family know there are very few times when I'm left speechless... wow! It's a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far.
"We haven't named him yet but he's already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed."
How sweet!
Cheryl's bandmate Sarah Harding has recently spoken about the incredible baby news and said she believes the Geordie pop star has wanted a baby since 2014 when Kimberley welcomed her son Bobby into the world.
Sarah explained: "Cheryl’s been broody for years. I think she’s wanted a baby since Kimberley first fell pregnant. Cheryl has achieved a lot in her career but becoming a mum was always her ultimate goal."
The 35-year-old singer who doesn't think there's anything wrong with their "little age gap" admitted she happy that her friend is dating 23-year-old Liam: "Cheryl’s been through a lot so I’m glad she’s got her happy ending with Liam."
Aww.
Bookies have been speculating what Cheryl and Liam will call their son but it's probably most likely that the pair will announce the news themselves as it has been reported that they will NOT be doing any magazine deals.
