Samia, 33, and partner Sylvain Longchambon are expecting their first child together – and she's only got a few weeks left until things start getting real.

Writing in her OK! Online blog, the Coronation Street actress said: "I've only got about three weeks left at Corrie before I finish for maternity leave – not long at all!

"I actually just got my last scripts through and I start filming my last episodes in the nest week or so. I won't tell you how I leave but for once, thankfully, it doesn't involve Maria having some dramatic breakdown!"

Samia is already mum to four-year-old daughter Freya, from her marriage to property developer Matthew Smith, and she's doing things a bit differently this time around.

She continued: "I will miss my Corrie family while I'm gone but I must say, it'll be nice to put my feet up for a few weeks before I give birth, I didn't get a chance to do that with Freya as I was filming up until about a week before she arrived."

Samia admitted she's feeling more releaxed about giving birth the second time around

And it seems Samia isn't stressing about her baby's arrival just yet – she hasn't even packed her hospital bag!

She wrote: "Lots of mums-to-be seem to have everything ready months in advance for their new arrival. I must admit I haven't even thought what I need to take with me to the hospital yet.

"I think because it's my second baby, I've found I'm a bit more relaxed. I know exactly what I will and won't need this time so I won't be buying unnecessary things like I did last time with Freya."
