During a scene set to be aired on tomorrow night’s episode of The Only Way is Essex, Samdiscusses her illness with her sister, Billie, and their mum, Suzanne.
Sam, 23, says: “I just feel so much better now that after the last five, six weeks not knowing what was wrong with me.
“The weight loss, not being able to hold down food, that thing that come out of my face – at least now the doctor’s diagnosed me, and it’s a shame that it’s Crohn’s disease. Obviously I’ve got to live with it forever, but it’s treatable.”
While Sam stays strong during the scene, pregnant Billie, 25, can’t hold back the tears, and says: “In my head I know that you’re going to be fine and I just feel really sorry for you.”
Sam tells her sister: “Don’t feel sorry for me, you’ll make the baby upset.”
In the emotional scenes, Suzanne, 42, starts crying, saying: “Sorry, I should be strong for you – you’re my baby.”
Sam originally fell ill while appearing on Celebrity Big Brother, but up until recently had no idea what was wrong with her.
Her TOWIE co-stars yesterday appeared on This Morning, and Ferne McCann revealed that Sam is on the road to recovery.
Ferne, 23, said: “She’s doing really, really well. She’s just happy to be at home surrounded by her family. It’s just a relief that she now knows and that she has been diagnosed with something.
“It’s a relief to have her home and on a speedy route to recovery.”
