**Following huge backlash over partner Paul Knightley, Sam Faiers has hit back – and she’s not impressed. **
The Essex-born stunner, 25, was forced to take to Instagram after their one-off documentary The Baby Diaries, which showed her journey from bump to baby boy Paul last year.
During the show Paul Senior, 27, was branded a ‘controlling man-child’ and slammed for a ‘weird’ kiss with his mother Gaynor.
But Sam has blasted the criticism. Sharing a sweet picture of her and baby Paul, the former TOWIE star wrote:
“I will kiss my baby boy on the lips forever. Thank you for everyone’s support and kind comments on our show. Media & people will always try find negative. I’m happy and so totally in love with my family [sic].”
She then posted a snap of Paul with his baby boy and insisted that, despite what viewers saw on the show, he doesn’t deserve the backlash.
“Wow Paul really is getting some stick,” she wrote. “I wish people wouldn’t look into it so much. It’s just a TV show edited & made for good viewing.
“Yes he fell asleep reading baby books, didn’t attend yoga and no he doesn’t cook but he is the most caring loving man I know & the best daddy to baby Paul.
“Also I’d like to add… This is the man who got me bette from Crohn’s disease. Months of studying and researching to find me alternative natural medication. He’s my hero xxx [sic].”
This week the Loose Women panel waded into the debate over Paul’s kiss with his mum, and Coleen Nolan insisted it is wrong.
She said: “I was very tactile with my kids when they were little, hugging and kissing them on the lips. And even now we’ll hug and kiss them. But Shane’s 27, Jake’s 23 and I cannot now kiss them on the lips.”
Addressing Jake’s relationship with Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson, Coleen added: “Jake knows I don’t like it so now he always tries to get me on the lips. He says, ‘But you’re my mum’. I don’t like it. He’s got a fiancée and once they’ve got girlfriends you know… they’re doing other kissing.”
