Sam Faiers is being investigated for theft after she was allegedly dropped off at Joey Essex's house and failed to come back out to pay the waiting taxi driver.

The taxi driver furiously told The Sunday People: "I picked up Sam Faiers and another man in the centre of town.

"On the way, she gave me her phone and asked me to speak to her boyfriend so he could direct me to the flats where he lives.

"When we got there, I told her it was 80 quid. She said she’d go inside and get it."

However, after waiting for a while, the driver said he had to leave without his fee.

He added: "I waited and waited but she never came out and because it was a block of flats I had no idea which to buzz. In the end I went back home without the fair."

A Scotland Yard spokesman added: "I can confirm we have received a complaint against a 23-year-old woman for making off without payment.

"That complaint was made on October 1. Officers are investigating."

Sam Faiers has yet to respond to the reports.
