Sam, 25, and 28-year-old Paul appeared in one-off ITVBe documentary The Baby Diaries last week, which documented their journey to welcoming baby boy Paul.
But Paul Senior was criticised by some viewers for his ‘controlling’ behaviour and ‘weird’ kiss with mother Gaynor.
Now a source tells the Mirror: “Paul tried to block ITV bringing the show out first. He was very unhappy with the edit when they saw a preview.
“He thought he didn’t come across well, especially with Sam. But a contract is a contract. But not even Paul predicted the reaction to that kiss with his mum. He is secretly fuming.”
It comes after former The Only Way Is Essex star Sam confessed Paul was reluctant to appear on TV.
Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine, she said: “He took quite a bit of persuading. I actually thought he was a natural and he was quite good. He done it for me.
“I’m glad he got involved as much as he did because it shows us as a family unit, together going into parenthood.”
Since the show Sam has taken to Instagram to defend her boyfriend, insisting the show was ‘edited and made for good viewing’.
