Sam Faiers is loving life as a yummy mummy.

And, like any proud mum, she’s been happily sharing snapshots of herself with four-month-old Paul on Instagram.

However her latest snap has sparked a wild debate amongst her social media users.

Dressed in a white summery playsuit, the former TOWIE star can be seen enjoying some vitamin D as she relaxes on a sun-lounger.

Cradled in her arms is little Paul, who seems to be happily enjoying his lunch.

Because, yes, it’s a breastfeeding selfie.

And yet, despite breastfeeding being an entirely normal part of motherhood, Sam has been subjected to abuse from some users over her decision to share the sweet snap.

One furious user wrote: “Why do mums that breastfeed feel the need to show everyone?

“I’m all for breastfeeding and certainly don't have a problem With it being done in public but I don't sit there taking photos of my little taking her bottle.

“I think it's more to do with ‘look how amazing I am, I'm breastfeeding, I'm so much better than you’ total attention seeker!"

Another added scathingly: “Attention seeker!”

However fellow mums have leapt to Sam’s defence, praising the star for normalising breastfeeding.

One wrote: “Love when women breastfeed in public...

“Great job at helping to make this the norm. Beautiful, amazing pic Sam!”

Another added: “I breastfed my twins for 6 weeks and damn it was hard, I'm a shy person so I wouldn't breastfeed in public but I have nothing against women who do!

“Perfectly natural and such a beautiful thing! Actually saw someone breastfeeding in public for the first time the other day and was so tempted to go up to her and give her a high 5, so yeah high 5 to all you current breastfeeders!!!”

“Just as nature had intended,” added another. “Thank you for helping normalise breast feeding!”
