After appearing on last year's X Factor, Sam Bailey has also forged a close bond with singing legend Michael Bolton - and now she reveals that they still talk on the phone all the time.

Sam said: 'I talk to Michael quite a lot to be honest. Michael will ring up and I am lying there in bed with my husband and I am saying to him: 'Just got to take this call, it's Michael.' It's quite a surreal moment!”

Currently enjoying time with her new-born daughter, Miley Beau Pearson, Sam will be back on the road in the New Year and is determined to get in shape.

She said: “There is a lot of pressure for new mums to spring back into shape. I have hired a personal trainer who I am starting to train with soon and I have been playing football. I am a big football fan and I played in a celebrity match with Danny Dyer at the weekend. I was a bit out of breath afterwards though!"

And she says she doesn't regret making Sharon, who is set to join Loose Women in November, the godmother to Miley.

She said: “I am still in touch with Sharon and I am very much looking forward to her coming over from LA. I'm really glad that I made her godmother but I didn't make her godmother just because she is Sharon Osbourne.

"You have got to think that I was her only act for eight weeks last year and she knows more about me than most people. I confided in her and I would go to for help because she is amazing."

Sam Bailey is supporting the FA WSL Continental Cup Final, which will see Arsenal Ladies take on Manchester City Women on 16th October at Adam’s Park Stadium. Tickets are available from £2.50 at www.wycombewanderers.co.uk/tickets.
