Sallie Axl has revealed that she was hospitalised very close to her baby’s due date, after being diagnosed with a liver condition.

Posting on Instagram, she wrote: “To everyone messaging me, me and baby are ok, been in hospital since Friday.

“I have OP which means my liver can’t cope with being pregnant, getting steroid injections today and tomorrow to strengthen the baby’s lungs for premature labour.

“So scary but the staff at Whiston hospital are amazing. Only 30 weeks so been so stressed just want everything to be ok and baby to be healthy.

She added: “I’m such a funny colour jaundes (sic) and I can’t stop itching . Will keep everyone informed.”

A short while later, Sallie shared a glowing selfie as she left the hospital - and, judging by the relaxed smile on her face, she was feeling a lot more confident about her pregnancy.

She wrote: “I will be going home today after a terrifying bank holiday weekend.

“Will be seen as a out patient until baby is born. Watching her growth and my liver.

“She will be early but I know she is in safe hands.”

Sallie added that the father of her unborn baby has been absent throughout the ordeal, explaining: “3rd scan today done on my own.

“If you ain't someone's priority whilst pregnant to their child you never will be… I've done this weekend with out any support from him so will do the next 18 years fine.

“And in any case if someone isn't there for their own baby when not well then they have to sleep with that at night not me.”

The former Big Brother star added that she has already picked out the perfect name for her little girl.

She said: “Can't wait to tell you all her name… she's going to be amazing.

“Not long till I see her.”

Sallie added bluntly: “Oh and everyone can tell him as I know he doesn't have a Instagram. No support what so ever.”

We can understand why the reality star is so nervous about her pregnancy, as she suffered a traumatic miscarriage last year.

Taking to Facebook, the glamour model wrote: “When I woke up in a blood-stained bed and gown it took days for the nurses to change them, leaving me in the remainders of the miscarriage and blood all over the floor.

"There was no compassion and one nurse referred to my unborn child as a 'IT' talking about getting her tested and speaking about taking a slithering off my baby.

"This should not happen to women who lose their unborn children!! I should NOT have been left to take my dead child home in a plastic bag!”

She added: “Thank God I have my beautiful daughter Nirvana to see me through these times. NHS you should be ashamed!!"
