Stacey McClean, just like Rochelle Humes and Frankie Bridge, shot to fame as one eighth of S Club 7 spin-off S Club Juniors.

Here she in back in her pop days:

But, since enjoying chart success with the rest of the fresh faced group in the early 2000s, Stacey has disappeared from the public eye.

Until now, that is!

The 27-year-old returned to the limelight earlier this year with a very sexy photoshoot, proving that she is definitely all grown up now.

Speaking to Closer, Stacey told us she's been keeping up her career in music. She said:

"Since leaving the band, I went on to audition for X Factor in 2009, making it all the way to the judges houses with Dannii & Kylie Minogue. Now I gig regularly up and down the country.

"At the moment I run a lifestyle blog, mainly discussing issues I feel strongly about due to my own experiences. Most recently I've been touching on Cyber Bullying, an issue that i feel needs to be discussed more often."

And confirming that's she really IS all grown up, she said:

"Also, I'm getting married next year so I guess that means I'm a proper adult now!"

The road to success has been difficult; Stacey has been working a nine-to-five job for the past five years, after failing to make it through to the finals of The X Factor in 2009.

However, despite finally returning to the spotlight with a bang, Stacey has found that fame comes with a price.

Yes, like so many people in the public eye, Stacey has found herself under fire from Twitter trolls.

Speaking exclusively with OK!, the singer revealed that she has even been accused of faking her mixed-race background.

She said: "A lot of people are like, 'she's not mixed race anymore' and it's like 'erm… I am!'

“I’ve just grown, I mean I'm 27 now. It's been 14 years since I was in the band.”

Stacey added firmly: “People kind of think 'okay she's not mixed race and she’s had a lot of work done and she isn’t natural.

“I’m like 'no I'm just grown'. These are my features."

You tell ‘em, Stacey!

The stunning star has chosen to ignore the haters, focusing instead on forging a new career.

But she admitted that growing up has also meant growing away from her former bandmates.

Stacey told us: "I haven't spoken or seen Rochelle and Frankie since 2010. As you can imagine 10 years apart is a long time and its easy to lose touch.

"I am however really close to Hannah, who is one of my lovely bridesmaids next year. She's like a sister so will always be in my life.

"I'm also close with Daisy, Aaron & Jay too, but again everyone has busy careers and families so we don't get to see each other as much as we'd like to."
