Another baby is soon set to join the S Club mini clan, as Tina Barrett has announced she is pregnant with her first child.

Tina – who was in popular band S Club 7 throughout the late nineties and early noughties – spoke to OK! magazine about her happy news.

The 40-year-old told how her and partner Paul Cashmore (no, that’s not her former band mate, unfortunately) were surprised to have fallen pregnant so quickly, explaining that many of her close friends have had to try for years before conceiving.

"I was so overcome with emotion," she said.

"I have friends who've tried for years to get pregnant but we conceived within three months of trying.”

Tina has been with her partner Paul for three years, and the pair are excited to welcome their first born in June.

And we imagine their little bundle of joy will have a LOT of playdates in the diary when he or she arrives, as former band mates Rachel Stevens and Jo O’Meara are both parents already.

Rachel – who also came second in the sixth series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2008 – is mum to Amelie, five, and Minnie, who is coming up to her second birthday in April.

Jo – who was a contestant in the 2007 edition of Celebrity Big Brother - is mum to Lenny, 9.

It's unusprising to hear that, when Tina broke the news to her old friends, her former stage pals got rather emotional:

"Jo burst into tears. She’s so sweet, she couldn't have been happier for us."

Anyone else really hoping for a Mini S Club 7 tribute band in the not-so-distant future?

The former singer didn’t reveal the sex of her baby, despite admitting she knew whether it's a pink or a blue one.

We guess we'll have to wait and see!

Congratulations to Tina Barrett and Paul Cashmore on their happy news.
