Rylan Clark-Neal shocked fans earlier this month when he revealed that he would be stepping away from his presenting position on This Morning.
The 29-year-old has been a fixture on the show since 2013, talking all things entertainment and celebrities in his own Ryland segment as well as regularly filling in for the main presenters when they are away.
But earlier in December Rylan announced that he would be leaving the popular ITV breakfast show before revealing that the newest Queen of the Jungle, Georgia Toffolo, would be stepping in in January.
However, this fuelled rumours that the Made In Chelsea star was replacing Rylan - even though he has insisted that he would be back on This Morning at some point.
So in order to set the record straight, the Big Brother presenter and former X Factor contestant decided to reveal the real reason that he was parting ways with the show - to stop the rumours once and for all.
In a since-deleted tweet, Rylan told his 1.5 million Twitter followers: "Rumours in press why I'm 'leaving' or being 'axed' from @thismorning. Truth is I need a break. I've been working constantly for 5 years and I need time to myself. I'll still be at Big Bro. I just need to take some time to myself. I'll be back soon xxx"
Soon after posting, Rylan decided to remove the tweet and replace it with one saying: "WHEN YOU PIT [sic] A NICE LITTLE TWEET UP AND PEOPLE PIPE UP... I'll just keep it simple.... I've not been sacked from @thismorning just having some time off that's all. Night."
We don't think you can get much clearer than that when it comes to squashing the rumours.
We're looking forward to having you back Rylan!
