The 26-year-old has revealed he'd love to join the cast of EastEnders – as a bad boy.

Speaking to the Daily Star, former X Factor contestant Rylan said: "I'd love to get into acting. I just love EastEnders.

"People think I was born in Essex but I was born in Stepney in East London. I think I could do it. It would be great to play a proper hardpan."

The Big Brother's Bit On The Side host has even worked out how he could slot into the show, and what accents he'll need.

He continued: "I could join as the Carters or be a long-lost slater. Or I could be a Mitchell. Actually, I love Kathy Beale so much. She's my idol. So I'd want to be her long-lost son. I could do a South African accent."

Until he's snapped up by the EastEnders bosses, Rylan has his music career to keep him busy.

He revealed his debut album is on the way

He recently revealed his debut album is on the way – and insisted it's not what you'd expect from him.

"I've actually signed a new record deal with Universal and my first single will be out soon!" he told OK! Magazine.

"It's not the Rylan you saw on The X Factor – I'm hoping to really surprise people. The thing is, I can actually sing – I hope people know that three years on."
