Rylan Clark and Laura Whitmore are reportedly being lined up to replace current presenters of the spin-off, Caroline Flack, 35, and 22-year-old Matt Richardson.

A source told a UK newspaper: “It’s a pretty stressful time, because Laura and Rylan have been screen tested but obviously, that makes it look like Caroline and Matt could be for the chop.

“The final decision isn’t made until the last minute – Olly Murs only found out he had the job just days before he started filming. So it’s quite tense, as it’s a big deal.”

While nothing has been confirmed, Rylan today mysteriously tweeted that he was ‘on the way to sign something very exciting’, before posting a picture of him signing what looked like a contract with a glass of champagne.

But, according to the source, Rylan shouldn’t be celebrating just yet as there is a chance Caroline and Matt could keep their jobs.

“Caroline and Matt could still come back, but as the first round of open auditions are already underway, everybody knows a decision is imminent and it’s pretty nerve-wracking.”

Caroline has presented the show since 2011, while Matt joined in 2013. Rylan rose to fame as a contestant on the ninth series of The X Factor and has since had many presenting jobs, including Big Brother’s Bit on the Side.
