When it comes to the perfect man, we reckon Ryan Gosling comes pretty close. Not only is he gorgeous (obvs), but he’s also funny and charming to boot. And on Sunday night, while collecting his Best Actor award at the 74th Golden Globes for his role as Sebastian Wilder in the movie La La Land, he proved that he’s also the ideal partner.

During his speech at the award ceremony in Los Angeles – inbetween making the A-list audience laugh – Ryan broke the hearts of women all over the world by taking time to think the most important person in his life - his partner Eva Mendes.

The pair have been together for five years and have two daughters together, Esmerelda and Amada. And even though the 36-year-old actor is usually very quiet about his private life, in his speech he opened up about his supportive girlfriend.

"There is no time to thank everyone, so I would like to try to thank one person properly,” he began.

"While I was singing and dancing and playing the piano and having one of the best experiences I’ve ever had on a film, my lady was raising our daughter, pregnant with our second, and trying to help her brother fight his battle with cancer.

"If she hadn’t taken that all on so I could have this experience, there would surely be someone else up here other than me today. So sweetheart, thank you."

Just wow!

The actor also went on to dedicate his award to his Eva’s brother, Carlos, who sadly lost his battle with cancer in April 2016.

Now, where do we find a Ryan Gosling of our own?
