Coronation Street’s Ryan, 31, and 27-year-old Emmerdale star Adam have opened up about raising their children, admitting they lean on each other.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Adam, dad to 14-month-old son Teddy, said Ryan – who shares six-year-old daughter Scarlett with ex-girlfriend Tina O’Brien – taught him a lot about parenthood.
Adam said: “I didn’t need to [ask] as I know if I need any help, he’s just there.
“I have seen him bring up Scarlett and she’s turned out alright.”
Gushing over his close relationship with Ryan, Adam added: “We’re lucky to be brothers who are best friends. We would die for each other. We are a close unit.”
Ryan, who is set to leave his role as Corrie’s Jason Grimshaw later this year, insisted he’d never lecture Adam on fatherhood.
He said: “I hate those parents who try to tell others how to bring up their child.
“When it’s your first child, you have to learn parenthood by yourself. Every child is different.”
And Adam, who plays Adam Barton on Emmerdale, confessed he and girlfriend Caroline Daly are already thinking about giving Teddy a brother or sister.
“When we had Teddy I just thought that would be it but I’d like to have another one now,” he said.
