We spoke to Russell, 33, who has now filmed eight series of Russell Howard's Good News, during his third series in 2010

Hi Russell! You're filming the third series of Russell Howard’s Good News - are you proud of it? I’m massively proud of it, it’s my favourite thing to do! I love working on it because it’s just a daft show about the news. I wanted to do a news show that wasn’t someone in a suit behind a desk going ‘blah blah blah’ with jokes you’ve heard a thousand times.

My sister Kerry is getting married soon and weddings are beautiful, everything looks amazing, then the vicar ruins it with all his God chat! I also can’t be arsed to organise it.

Definitely, I’d gladly live in New York. This is the struggle though, moving the girlfriend and the dog. The dog would have to go into storage. Put him in a kennel and he’d bust out. But while the sun is shining, why not?
