Congratulations are in store for the comedian as his wife Laura Gallacher gives birth to their second child
Russell Brand is said to have expanded his family this weekend as wife Laura Gallacher gave birth to a new baby girl.
A source told The Sun that the couple are over the moon with their new addition, saying: "Obviously they are over the moon, and Russell will no doubt be gushing about her whenever he next performs stand-up,"
However, apparently the pair are planning to keep things private this time. "They didn't want to make a big announcement," the source added.
The couple already have daughter, 20-month-old Mabel together, who was born last year.
The happy pair married in August last year in Henley-On-Thames.
Russell has previously spoken out about how much his daughter means to him.
He told Stella Magazine, "She grabs my face, closes her fist and twists it. I quite like that. Nothing she does annoys me."
"It's just that you can't ever go, "would you mind being on standby for an hour so I can do something else?" It's a total lack of control: she'll punch and I'll surrender" he added.
He has also previously explained his and his wife's decision to raise their children as gender neutral.
On The Jonathan Ross show, before Mabel's birth, he said: "I've accepted the idea that person will be more important than me. Jesus III I'm thinking of calling him, or her.
"I don't know the gender. I might not ever impose a gender upon it. Let the child grow up and be whatever the hell it is. Never tell it there is such a concept."
