“She was really upfront with him at the start about the scandal she’s been through. She’s told pals there’s nothing he can Google about her that he doesn’t already know. She laid her cards on the table with him and he’s been incredibly supportive and accepts her for who she is.”

Roxanne got engaged to Lee Walton just a week after meeting him on social media in December 2017. Following their split, the former Emmerdale star was spotted on a date with property guru Mike Etherington – who was later revealed to have described her as “manipulative and disgusting” in resurfaced Tweets he’d posted during Roxanne’s CBB scandal.

Opening up to Closer about her chaotic love life in June – just one month before meeting Jason – Roxanne, 36, claimed, “Last year I got embarrassingly carried away and badly wanted to carve out some happiness. I was engaged to someone I didn’t know.”

She added, “I’m such a romantic and I’d like to find love but I’m just focusing on me for now.”

Like Roxanne, Jason is no stranger to the spotlight and starred in the American version of Married At First Sight in 2014. He and wife Cortney Hendrix were one of the longest-standing couples from the show but announced they were divorcing in February this year.

But sources say Roxanne has insisted this romance is different and that she’s determined to keep things private.

The source adds, “Roxanne’s circle obviously want what’s best for her and can’t deny the positive affect he’s had on her. Unlike her previous relationships, she’s taking her time and has tried to keep things private – which is why no one knew they’d been together for two months until they were seen last week.

“She’s insisted she’s in a very different frame of mind now and is making decisions based on thought and not impulse – which is credited to a year of therapy."
