On Tuesday, actor Robert Downey Jr welcomes a baby daughter, and now our favourite Avenger has released the name of his daughter in standard RDJ fashion: a sweet and yet deliciously funny FB post.

Taking to his Facebook page, Robert wrote: 'Avri Roel Downey joined the party @ 3.22 a.m. on Movember 4th...she's 7lbs even, spans 20 inches, and is accompanied by a variety of Susan's traits that have seemingly overwrritten mu "junk DNA."
Her first name is pronounced as Ay-Vree, which most likely would have been derived from the original, Avery. Wise is the meaning of the earlier spelling, or if you prefer the literal French translation, "ruling with elf-wisdom". Quite a benevolent notion for such a new soul.
The little one's second name, however, has a much more interesting story behind it. The 'Ro' apparently stands not only for Downey's father, Robert Downey Sr. and his wife Rosemary but also for Susan's mum, Rosie. His mother Elsie and his wife's father, Eliot are represented with the last syllable 'el'.
