Fans of the 41-year-old are used to seeing him with black locks, so the pink hair he revealed was more than a bit of a change.

Just two hours later and his hair was different again. But this time even Robbie didn’t know what colour it was. He wrote: “Now blue? Purple? RW x”

Taking to Instagram to confirm his was not supposed to be pink or blonde or purple, Robbie wrote: “A disclaimer – my hair is pink… It isn’t meant to be, it’s a dye job gone wrong…

“It 24 hours it will be different, much like Bruce Jenner it is in transition… If I get papped please note I didn’t intend to have a pink head… RW x”

Robbie celebrated his birthday last week by trying to do a Kim Kardashian and ‘break’ the internet.

Posting a nude snap, he joked: “Do you think my bell-end can #BreakTheInternet on my birthday?”
