Ex Take That member Robbie Williams has admitted her underwent a hair transplant procedure because he was 'bored' whilst living in LA.

Appearing on the Graham Norton show the Angels singer admitted that he had the surgery despite not actually really needing it.

'Well if you live in Los Angeles for long enough you're going to get some surgery' said the star.

'I've had a thatch done...I didn't even need it, that's the weirdest thing. I had like three months off and got bored so thought, I'll go in.'

'I just got some at the sides and front done. That's what I'm saying about Los Angeles, it's weird.'

Other stars who have admitted to having similar procedures include Wayne Rooney and Closer columnist Dr Christian Jessen, who admitted to having the procedure in 2010 after Twitter users mocked his thinning hair.

One user wrote: 'Great body, s*** hair' - a comment which led the TV doctor to invest in the surgery, which cost around £5,500 in total.
