It was reported over the weekend that Robbie, who has previously appeared as a guest judge to former bandmate Gary Barlow at judges' houses, is the "top choice" to take Louis Walsh’s seat on The X Factor judging panel.

Meanwhile it has been rumoured that Olly Murs and Caroline Flack are set to present Simon Cowell’s vocal talent show, following Dermot O’Leary’s shock decision to quit the show last week.
He said on Twitter: "Good afternoon. After eight wonderful years on @TheXFactor it’s time for me to move on.
"I’d like to thank ITV, Simon, The X Factor family and particularly the viewers, all of whom have been a big part of my life for so long.
"I’d like to wish the team all the best for the future, especially whoever takes over from me."
