She may be the glamorous new pop star judge on television’s biggest talent show, but not much is known about Rita Ora’s life before she became famous.

In a revealing new book, the star claims that she was ‘groomed’ by an older man at the tender age of 14.

The alleged abuse took place whilst she was a student at London’s famous Sylvia Young Theatre School.

In excerpts from her book, she says: “ was 14 when I had my first relationship with a guy. I would say he was about 26.

“It is child abuse really, isn't it?

“I don't want to say that I suffered it, because I wanted it. I don't want to say that I was forced to do it."

She added: “I don't want people to think I was abused as a kid.”

Rita, 24, initially made the comments on Lifetime TV back in 2013, but biography authors Douglas Wight and Jenn Wiley resurfaced them for the singer’s latest book, Hot Right Now.

The Kosovo-born singer has been on the road to stardom since she was at school, signing to Jay Z’s record label when she was just 19 after being flown to the US.

Now as an X Factor judge, Rita will be mentoring the girls category in the hope that she’ll win her first year on the panel.
