Can we all take a moment to pay respects to Perrie Edwards’ cat, Prada. Once beloved, now passed onto a better place, the Little Mix star instagrammed her grief and we feel her pain.
Look at its little squashed cat face. And it’s little paw. Prada was bought shortly after Perrie and then-boyfriend Zayn got engaged back in 2013, and when they broke it off two years later, she got custody.
Thankfully, Prada’s passing hasn’t left Perrie on her own; as well as getting custody of the kitty, she also kept the rest of her and Zayn’s pets, including another two cats, a Pomeranian dog, a husky and a terrier. They were basically running a zoo.
Until, of course, their bitter split via text (yes, text) in 2015 that left Perrie pretty much devastated. And homeless. “It was horrible, the worst time in my life,” the 23 year old wrote in her book Our World.
“A four-year relationship, two-year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that. Even though things in my career were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me.”
She also added that she had to move out of the home they shared together, and was “crying every day”. Poor Perrie.
In happier news, they both look like they’ve moved on. Perrie, with footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - happily, the pair have recently been snapped with one of Perrie’s dogs, Hatchi - and Zayn, reportedly with model of 2016 Gigi Hadid. No word on whether the Zayn and Gigi have bought any animals together, though.
