The 25-year-old was making an appearance at a night club in the seaside town when he became involved in a fight with five other men.

Despite his arrest, sources close to Ricky claim he was the victim. A friend told the Mirror: “[He] was left shaken after being set upon in a random attack.”

But Ricky is still said to have ended up in cuffs, with a Sussex Police spokesperson saying: “A 25-year-old man from Chigwell in Essex was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm following a fight with another man.

“Police officers on patrol were alerted to the fight around 2.25am. As the situation calmed, the victim of the assault declined to provide a statement and the man was de-arrested. He left the area immediately.”

His ‘arrest’ comes after reports that he and fiancée Marnie Simpson have split. The normally loved-up couple have been suspiciously quiet on social media recently, with the Geordie Shore star even failing to acknowledge her man’s birthday.

Ricky and Marnie appear to have split – but he insists she didn't cheat

Both Ricky and Marnie are yet to confirm or deny a split, but he did blast allegations that she’d cheated.

He tweeted: “All stories in magazine and papers are false. Until you get a quote from me personally, don’t believe what you read [sic].

“Unless the story comes from my mouth then don’t believe a word the papers and magazine say [sic].”
