Amy Childs confirmed last week that she had split from the father of her child Bradley Wright and now she's explained the reason why.
In an exclusive interview with OK! Magazine the former TOWIE star opened up about what lead to her decision to separate from baby Polly's dad, only two months after she was born.
She said: "I wanted Brad to be my best friend and my lover, and in the end we just didn’t have anything in common. I fell out of love with him.
"After Polly arrived he was sleeping in a different room. Towards the end I became more like a friend and his mum."
And while Amy faces the future as a single mother it seems the Essex born beauty had already been taking on the bulk of parenting duties as well as the household chores.
She explained to the weekly publication: "I was doing the bottles, cleaning and doing his dinner. I wish he’d helped me. The hardest thing for me was on my birthday, he didn’t even get me a present. He got me a card, but he didn’t take me out.
"I thought maybe me, him and Polly could go to the park for lunch or dinner. But no, nothing.
"I deserve to be treated much better than that. If you’re trying and they’re not, it’s hard. I did everything by myself."
Amy did admit that joint parenting had started well but it had soon become clear she couldn't make it work. She said: "When the baby came at the hospital, we were both crying and it was amazing. Then after two weeks I just thought, I can’t do this any more. He was good for five days and I thought, maybe things will be different.
"But then it felt like the novelty had worn off for him. He was coming back from work later. With a newborn, dads get two weeks off but Brad was back to work after five days."
In a statement to The Sun last week a spokesperson for Amy said: "Amy has not thrown Brad out, but they have split up amicably. Brad will of course see Polly whenever he likes and they will remain friends."
After a rocky relationship which included Bradley being sentenced to 16 months in prison, it looks like it really is the end for these two.
We think Amy will make a fantastic single mum and, of course, a very glamorous one too. Wishing her all the best.
