Rebekah Vardy has revealed she's comsuming her placenta following the birth of her fourth child.

The WAG - who is married to footballer Jamie Vardy and gave birth to their son on Sunday 8 January -shared the news with her fans in an Instagram post.

Posting a picture of her dried placenta alongside of huge bottle of Placenta Plus pills, she wrote: "Let's do this then! Thanks so much @placentaplus 😊 #roadtorecovery "

Placenta pills have become increasingly popular over the past few years, especially with celebrities - Kim Kardashian, Blac Chyna and Natasha Hamilton are all fans.

The ancient practise is said to have health benefits for new mothers, including helping to prevent post-natal depression and replacing nutrients lost through breast feeding.

However it seems not all of Rebekah's followers are convinced by the practice.

One commented: "no your not going eat that are you? 😧.. What do you do sprinkling of salt&pepper? Or maybe modernise it with some peri peri salt 🙃"

While another added: "No way that's mad... I never even knew you could do this type of stuff"
