Rebekah Vardy has opened up about how her feelings towards her body have changed after having her baby
WAG Rebekah Vardy has opened up about how her changing body shape is no longer a cause for concern to her.
Whilst a lot of mums feel the pressure to "snap back" after giving birth, which is dangerous, Rebekah has been open and honest about taking her time - which is how it should be done.
Sharing a before and after photo on her Instagram, she wrote a touching note.
The mum-of-four wrote: "All of these pictures were taken within just over a year of one another. It's amazing how many changes the female body can go through.
"The first pic was in May 2016 just before my wedding and I was hammering the gym to be super toned in my dress. I can't believe how little I was, I just didn't realise I was at the time and I was really enjoying my fitness.
"Second pic was when I was heavily pregnant with Finley in December 2016. The third one was just a few weeks ago on holiday. My body is still changing now and absolutely nowhere near my pre-baby body - probably never will be as I may never feel inclined to work out that hard ever again - but I'm ok with that.
"We are who we are."
We think Rebekah looks absolutely amazing in each photo - but what's most important is how she feels about it, not anyone else's opinion.
She took part in a photoshoot only a couple of months after giving birth to baby Finley, with her "mum tum" on show to highlight how beautiful postpartum bodies are.
Rebekah has becoe something of a postpartum body confidence guru, and quite often posts things on social media to praise bodies.
Last month, she posted a word image which made women everywhere punch the air with happiness.
It read: "I hate it when men make unsolicited comments about a woman's body. Like, 'She's got a nice shape but she needs to tighten up her stomach'. How about you tighten up your lips and never speak again you ignorant shit."
People flocked to comment, with one writing: "Well done, it's us who has the babies," another commenting: "It's not just funny, it's true though," and many posting: "Agreed! I love this."
