Although many people were not surprised, with Kris’ well-documented love of the limelight in stark contrast to Bruce’s more modest nature, there were still questions over why this seemingly ‘forever’ couple had finally split.
Reports have now emerged that Bruce, 63, had been spending an increasing amount of time with ex wife and former model Linda Thompson, in the run up to their separation announcement.
‘Bruce has been spending a lot of time with Linda and the boys in Malibu over the last few months,’ a Jenner family insider revealed.

‘Linda has lived in Malibu for decades and leads a very normal life, away from the spotlight — the opposite of the Kardashians and Jenners.’
‘Linda is not only is she drop dead gorgeous, but she is one of the kindest people on the planet,’ the source added of the 63 year old, who has two sons, 32-year-old Brandon and Brody, 30, with Bruce.
‘It’s not sitting well with Kris that Bruce has been spending time with Linda. There is nothing romantic going on between the two at this time. However, Bruce has always had a special place in his heart for Linda and admires what an amazing mother she is to their sons.’

Bruce’s son Brody, who starred in MTV’s The Hills, has previously accused Bruce of not being a good father following his marriage to Kris Jenner, whom he subsequently had daughters Kendall, 17, and Kylie, 16 with.
‘Both Brandon and Brody are happy to finally be able to spend time with their parents together, after all of these years,’ the source explained.
‘Linda has always wanted to be friends with Bruce, but Kris wouldn’t allow it. She would give him so much grief about spending time away from their daughters, Kendall and Kylie. Bruce felt guilty and just didn’t pursue it.’
