You may have noticed there were a couple of members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan notably absent from this year’s Met Gala
Especially eagle-eyed fans will know that two sisters, Khloe and Kourtney, have actually never attended the grandiose ball – and there’s a reason for that.
Legendary US Vogue editor and core member of the Met committee reportedly didn’t think the sisters were high profile enough for the event, which showcases some of the most eye-popping looks from the red carpet, and therefore didn’t extend an invite.
Er, RUDE.

According to sources, this year Kourtney was in fact invited for the first time, but chose to skip the event with Khloe so that she wasn’t left on her own. A true show of sisterly solidarity (which is more that we can say for YOU, Kim, Kylie and Kendall).
Anyway, despite being “blacklisted” by event organisers for being too “C List” for the prestigious event, the women have certainly been living their best lives as they both posted glamorous shots to their Instagram stories from sunnier climes than NYC.

Kourtney’s uploads showed her handing out on a sun dappled terrace and settling down to practice some piano, while Khloe snaps were of her adorable daughter True, who she shares with ex Tristan Thompson, toddling through her palatial LA home.
In fairness, Queen Kardashian Kim only received her first invite to the Met Gala in 2013, when she was pregnant with first child North, in attendance as then fiancé Kanye West’s plus one.
Earlier this month she posted some throwback pictures from the event to Twitter, writing, “Year 1- 2013 Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy.
“I was Kanye’s plus one & so nervous! I didn’t know anyone & I’m sure no one wanted me there lol. I did my own lipstick & the color is so off.
"I went home & cried after of insecurity but this is one of my fave looks now."
