Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice sentenced to 15 months in jail

The Real Housewive’s of New Jersey star’s husband Joe Giudice has also been sentenced to over three years in prison after being found guilty of fraud charges brought towards them by the US federal government.

The couple were arrested after it was discovered that deliberate omissions were made in their financial paperwork between 2001 and 2008. These omissions were reportedly made to acquire over $5 million worth of mortgages.

The Giudices have since listed their $4 million Jersey mansion for sale, but still owe $13.4 million to their creditors following the guilty verdict.

Teresa, 42, shot to fame in the hit reality series Real Housewives of New Jersey.

The show sparked controversy due to the cat fights and often violent confrontations between Teresa and her co-stars.

Following the couple’s sentencing, it has been reported that Joe Giudice could face deportation as he is still officially an Italian citizen.
