The longest-serving star of Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa left her mansion in a black SUV shortly after midnight yesterday.
She surrendered to tax evasion just before 3am, several hours ahead of her scheduled intake, at the minimum-security prison camp that once housed Lauryn Hill, who also served for tax evasion.
Her lawyer, James J. Leonard Jr., who drove her from her Montville Township mansion, said in a statement: "She was ready. Teresa is a very strong woman, she won't have any problems in there."

“The early surrender was negotiated with prison officials during a series of phone calls on New Year's Eve.
"When we arrived at Danbury, everyone we encountered was extremely courteous and respectful.”
Teresa and her husband Joe, both 42, pleaded guilty last year to multiple counts of bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud.
Joe will serve 41 months in prison and then face deportation because the Italian-born contractor is not a United States citizen.
The couples primary concerns are their four daughters aged 13 to 4 years old.
A statement from Teresa’s lawyer read: "Her primary concern is and always has been her four daughters.

"When she talks about going away, she talks about how it will effect them, not her."
Although there was not a statement from Teresa prior to her surrender, her daughter Gia tweeted: “Support system is unreal #soblessed.”
Teresa and Joe still owe millions from their failed 2009 bankruptcy, and all three of their homes have been put up for sale.
