The attack happened in January and the 33-year-old opened up about how she got through it.
Admitting that her footballer husband Phil has been her rock, Tanya told OK! Magazine: “I think everything we’ve been through has made us strong.”
The Real Housewives of Cheshire star also revealed they’ve since found out her attacker will not be charged.
But Tanya insists she’s not going to let it keep her down.
She continued: “I had a choice; to let it eat me up and get bitter, or to let it go and move on - so I chose to get better instead of bitter.
“There are millions of people who go through a lot worse so you choose to focus on what you’re grateful for instead.”
Stoke City defender Phil, 29, added: “We’d spent the night in the hotel and then I went to watch Man United and Tanya stayed in bed, feeling comfortable in a nice hotel, and then that happens.”
Tanya insisted she’s now looking to the future, after it was confirmed The Real Housewives of Cheshire will return for a second series on ITVBe.
She and Phil have two children together, sons Rocco, six, and two-year-old Renz, and she has 13-year-old daughter Gabriella from another relationship.
